The human attitudes and the corporate family-friendly policy, which are treasured by the firm, have now been confirmed and recognised officially. iData Kft has won the Family-friendly Workplace 2016 award announced by the Ministry of Human Capacities for the sixth time.
The goal of the contest was to support programs aimed at creating and developing family-friendly workplaces which contribute to achieving a balance between work and family and to harmonising people’s commitments to these two important fields of life.
Ever since its foundation, iData Kft has always strived to approach its employees with a different attitude. Management has realised that a healthy balance between family and work is a fundamental interest for the company because a balanced employee can work and cooperate much more effectively. Its professional selection system supported by S-CPI test, the annual corporate culture and satisfaction surveys started three years ago, the developments and an open-door policy have all enabled the company to retain its family business atmosphere from the beginning even though it has an almost one hundred strong staff today.
The findings of surveys are used by both the management and the owners in order to ensure even more effective operation of the organisation. They have consistently strengthened the most important components of corporate culture and tried to make more emphasis on components that are strongly demanded by the employees but not given priority currently. In order to ensure equal opportunities and equal treatment, an Equal Opportunities Plan was developed with focus on excluding discrimination, respecting personality rights, strengthening family-friendly attitudes, supporting the disadvantaged, preserving health and providing access to education.
“I have been working at iData Kft as a psychologist, and I think the flexible attitudes and the efforts made to create a harmonic relationship have largely contributed to the smooth operation of the organisation. Employees can almost absolutely freely schedule their vacation which helps families with children to adjust themselves to school holidays and to other unexpected events. In case of any problem, day-care is provided for the employees’ children within the company’s premises. This year we offered a sports camp for our employees’ children which was a big success among both children and parents according to the feedback we received. The iData Family Day event has been held every summer for years now, and this year it will be organised with a focus on sports, featuring contests, skill games and different healthcare services. Supporting our retired employees and reducing the costs of families when school starts are also among our key objectives – added Szilvia Sztankovjánszky.
In the application category, 156 applications were received of which the Evaluation Committee awarded grants to 47 applications and another four entities received the Family-friendly Workplace 2016 award recognising their activities.
Owner András Szabó received the award on behalf of the company at the award ceremony held at the Hungarian State Opera House.
